1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Take2Padel (“Take2Padel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) — operated by Samuel Strauss and Morgan Barnes, of 22 The Avenue, Durham, DH1 4ED — collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use take2padel.com (the “Platform”).
Take2Padel is the “controller” of your personal data for the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
This Policy applies to buyers, sellers and visitors to the Platform. It should be read alongside our Terms of use and our Cookie policy.
2. The personal data we collect
We may collect:
- Account data — name, email address, phone number and (for sellers) postcode.
- Order data — delivery address, items bought or sold, order value and order history.
- Listing data — for sellers, the photos and descriptions submitted for a racket, including the condition-verification photos our review process requires.
- Payment data — limited confirmation data, such as that a payment succeeded. Full card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store them.
- Communications — support queries, order or listing notes, and dispute reports.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the Platform, including via the one cookie described in our Cookie policy.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you — when you register, list a racket, place an order, or contact us.
- Automatically — through the session cookie described in our Cookie policy.
- From third parties — for example, confirmation from Stripe that a payment has succeeded, or a tracking update from the courier a seller has chosen.
4. How and why we use your data

|---|---|
| Creating and managing your account | Performance of a contract |
| Processing orders, payments and delivery | Performance of a contract |

| Sending wishlist availability alerts | Consent |
5. Who we share your data with
- Other users. When you place an order, we share your delivery name and address with the seller so they can dispatch the racket. When you list a racket, your seller display name is visible to buyers.
- Stripe, to process payments and hold funds as described in our Terms of use.
- Royal Mail, or another courier a seller chooses, to arrange and track delivery.
- Cloudflare, who host the Platform, our database and listing photos.
- Resend, who deliver our sign-in codes and order/wishlist emails on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and authorities — such as an accountant, solicitor, or regulator — where necessary or where we’re legally required to.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers — including Stripe, Cloudflare and Resend — may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations, to ensure your data is protected to UK standards.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account data is kept while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return or a dispute arises.
- Order and financial records are kept for 6 years, in line with UK tax and accounting requirements.
- We delete or anonymise data once it’s no longer needed for the purposes it was collected for, unless we’re required to keep it longer by law.
8. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including secure hosting and restricting access to personal data to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at take2padel26@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we’ve mishandled your data.
10. Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. See our Cookie policy for details and how to control it.
11. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date, and notify you of material changes.
