[brackets]) and a solicitor’s review before you rely on it — especially the sections on payments, liability and consumer rights.1. Who we are
Take2Padel (“Take2Padel”, “we”, “us”) operates take2padel.com, a marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned padel rackets in the UK. [Registered company name, company number and registered address to be added here.]
2. Using Take2Padel
You need an account to sell a racket, make an offer, or complete a purchase. We sign you in using a one-time code sent to your email address rather than a password. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that’s how we verify it’s you.
3. Selling on Take2Padel
- Every submission is reviewed by Take2Padel before it’s published; we may decline to list a racket at our discretion.
- You confirm that anything you submit is accurately described, genuinely yours to sell, and not stolen, counterfeit or subject to a dispute.
- To receive payouts, sellers complete onboarding with our payment processor, Stripe, via Stripe Connect.
- Take2Padel deducts a commission from each completed sale before paying out the seller’s share; the current commission rate is shown to you before you list.
4. Buying on Take2Padel
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your payment is held until you confirm delivery, or until a set review period after delivery has passed — see Returns & buyer protection for details. Placing an order is an offer to buy at the listed price; the sale is confirmed once payment is successfully taken.
5. Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. Take2Padel does not store your card details. Funds held on the platform between checkout and seller payout are not held in a legally segregated escrow account — [describe the actual arrangement here, e.g. platform balance held with Stripe] — and this section should be reviewed against how the business is actually structured before publishing.
6. Liability
Take2Padel reviews listings before they’re published but does not independently certify the condition of any racket beyond the checks described in Returns & buyer protection. [Standard limitation-of-liability language to be added here once reviewed by a solicitor — this varies depending on whether Take2Padel is treated as a marketplace facilitator or as the seller of record.]
7. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any statutory rights you have as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. [This section needs solicitor input to confirm exactly how these regulations apply to Take2Padel’s specific marketplace structure.]
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. [Confirm with a solicitor.]
